Cross Postings...
I've been sadly neglectful of my dear blog... partially because I've been quite busy,(having a kiddo will do that to you) but also because it's been easier to blog on myspace. I know. Myspace. I shudder too, but now I'm addicted. I really want to do a redesign of this blog and perhaps it will inspire me more. Anyway, here's the first of a cross-post from the myspace blog:

Weekend @ Grandpa's Current mood: awake Category: Life
We went to my grandpa's this weekend to take a four-generation photograph with Great-Grandpa Brand, Grandma Judy, Hazel and myself. Not only were Ezra, Hazel and I there, but Grandma Judy, Great-Grandpa Brand, Great-Aunt Sandy, Great-Uncle Richard, Aunt Becky, Uncle Jim, Cousin Paige, Jim's sister Jodi, her husband Nick and their baby Liz, and Jim's parents, Joanne and George. It was a houseful! Then add on top of that my Aunt Sandy's sister's two kids for a night and it got even more full!
Ezra did a whole bunch of "man things" with Jim and Nick.It was really funny watching him put up a big tent, go fishing and go put a boat in the water. It was funny because I'm just not used to it - he does "man things" up here, but somehow it was different. I think because here we both do things - I check the fluids on the car and take care of general maintenence (although if it's a big problem, he takes care of it), he does the dishes. It just works out that way. It was just unusual to see him doing this stuff. I suppose, too, because Jim and Nick are those type of guys who fish, drive trucks, and etc.. and Ezra and I are kind of the hipster funksters of the bunch. Anyway, random thought.
Pretty much we just kind of visited and got caught up - didn't even play dice or Rummikub, much to Grandpa's chagrin!
But the biggest surprise of all was Ezra out in a kayak! Yes, he went out on the water and got wet! I couldn't believe it! It was pretty amazing! I took pictures to send to his mom!
All in all, a pretty good weekend.
Look for more to come in the coming days... :D
